What if the future of contemporary art lay in exchange, mutual aid and experimentation?

For three years, Atfu (the free platform dedicated to visual artists) has been reinventing the rules of the game by allowing artworks to be bartered for goods or services. Far traditional market codes, Atfu offers an original system

Waall.05 Exhibition,

07.06.2024

For Nuit Blanche 2024, the Waall.05 exhibition at Galerie Au Roi (Paris 11th arrondissement) featured 17 of the artists most acclaimed by their peers on Atfu. We relied on the taste of contemporary artists to create an exhibition that auctioned 17 original pieces to the general public. Right on target, the exhibition was a success: all the works found buyers on Saturday evening.

247 swap offers and over 600 visitors were registered. This POC (Proof Of Concept) demonstrates that buyers' tastes do indeed match those of the artists, to whom it was time to give a place of choice in their own visibility.

SPIELACT,

7th edition

13-25.05.2025

Spielact is a multidisciplinary art festival dedicated to contemporary creation. Since 2019, it has offered the public a space for reflection and artistic discovery, with the aim

of imagining desirable futures. By organizing

an exhibition and several creative and festive events as well as round tables, the event

brings together artists from all horizons

and professional networks with the aim

of generating a space for exchange with

the public. Spielact is intended as a platform

for emulation and rupture, to influence our representations of art as an important vector

of cohesion, reflecting our diversity and current societal concerns. Responding to a desire

for resistance, Spielact encourages the search for viable solutions for the future.

For its 7th edition, Spielact takes up residence at Le Commun, with a program featuring over 30 artists and contributors. Through an exhibition, performances and a program

of cultural mediation, the festival looks at

the challenges facing the cultural sector.

The group exhibition takes center stage, transforming common into an imaginary collector's home. This symbolic staging reveals

and questions the realities of art workers.

Artists' Collections

There was a time when collecting meant containing the world: freezing it, classifying it,

protect it. To accumulate in order to know.

To possess in order to master. Today, what

we what we collect speaks as much of what

we refuse to forget as of what we choose

to pass on. A singular narrative, a subjective memory, fragmentary, discontinuous, unstable.  Collections d'Artistes proposes to consider

the artist as a collector, and the act of collecting as an artistic form for opening up other avenues. The exhibition suggests several types of collection, whether private, in a bourgeois

salon, or public, In these Artist Collection, if the work is the link, the collection becomes the relationship. A collection that is not defined

by static accumulation, but by its power

to produce meaning, stories and exchanges.

A kind of space-time where thirty artists,

over fifty works, the team and the public form

a large cabinet of hobbyist.

Show me your collection. I'll tell you who you are.
